Doi Oing - Good FeelingOut Now | Buy LCD Direct £Doi-Oing was made up of Gez Dewar, Nick Hale & Nick Nicholson. They made some mightly fine tunes from the first progressive house era, circa 1993 (think sasha, digweed, renaissance comps with leaves on etc). One of their finest was Good Feeling. Originally released in 1993, it went on to span several releases, several comp appearances and several remixes. 18 years later we have added one of our own (the impressive Canadian Bernie Allen doing the business) and found one or two unreleased ones (The Hotwire Pair). The original remixes and versions are all there in their glory too. The menacing Nasty Feeling, the percussive Timbale Feeling and the chilled out version Something In My Head.

Doi-Oing - BlueOut Now | Buy LCD Direct £One of the finest moments of the classic Sasha and Digweed first Northern Exposure compilation was Doi-Oings "Blue". Here re-mastered and remixed for the first time. The original mixes were so good, they used them twice on the mix. Both mixes are here as are from the 1998 period, the driving Trance Mix and the haunting Blue Ether mix. Fast forward to 2011 and we have some fine new mixes from the starlights of todays progressive talent. First up is the mighty Texan Peter Martin. Peter has been quiet as of late, but with a new album due to drop soon his swirling and moody progressive workout is a special treat. Next off to Poland where Tion tecs things up with the tech house cruncher. Spin round the globe to Iran next with hot new talent Amir Abassi. Amirs progressive monster is yet more justifation on why this young chaps star is most definitely rising. To finish off its back ot the US with Sleazy McQueen (aka Laurin Fedora). He brief was take some moody nu-disco and merge it with deep prog. That is exactly what the talented Floridian did. Top stuff.

Rapscallions - The Amsterdam ExpressOut Now | Buy LCD Direct £It was 1998, the nights were long and Prog was wide. Aquilia - DreamstateOut Now | Buy LCD Direct £Aquilia are the UK based due of Steve Andrews & Tony Edwards. Arguably their finest moment was the 1999 stomper 'Dreamstate'. Floating and ethereal vocals merged with goa-tinged trance beats and moody pads. Perfect food for an LSG remix. Of course the ever reliable Oliver Lieb delivered... his mix finding its way onto Global Underground 13, Sasha Ibiza. This classic mix features in this 2008 re-issue as does a brand new comissioned one by Stoke based Grafiti (Leama and James Davis). The Grafiti mix takes the track to new areas with its smouldering techno grooves and bleeping wonked-out percussion and synths.

Blue Planet Corporation - MicromegaOut now | Buy LCD Direct £Blue Planet Corporation is the ever-so cool moniker for Frenchman Gabriel Masurel. BPC started off as a downtempo and ambient project but when it collided with UK based Psy-Trance label Flying Rhino, things got really interesting. The result was the 'Blue Planet' album a masterpiece of psy influnced grooves and hypnotic beats. One of the standout tracks from that album was Micromega, so much so that Sasha and Digweed included the track on the Northern Exposure Expeditions mix CD (the one with the yellow and red rope on the cover). Here we present the track for its debut digital release. The alternate mixes from Bumbling Loons and the deep prog of Choo Choo are also included.

Pete Lazonby - WavespeechOut now | Buy 12" Direct £4.29 | Buy LCD Direct £7.99Pete Lazonby is one of those producers lucky enough to have created not one, but two! of Progressive houses' finest moments. Whilst he may be best known for his classic Sacred Cycles track on Hooj Choons, its his superlative Wavespeech that quite possibly is the connoisseurs choice. Wavespeech started life on the UK Braniak label as an extended and wigged out 20 minute instrumental. At the core of the track were the wonky slinky-like sound effects, metallic crunching samples and the juxtaposed softly-spoken Irish chap. But it was the big chunky riff that really made the difference to everyone. That riff was such a dance floor feature in the mid 90s that Junior Vasquez (who had even paraphrased the track as the "guitar song") just had to have a go at remixing it. Whilst Junior took things in one big room direction a myriad of European producers took it into all sorts of other territories from goa-trance to house. However it was the Junior version that finally got the attention of Sasha and Digweed, who parked it on their Northern Exposure compilation. The boundless rise of those DJs propelled the track to its classic status that it deserves now. More than 10 years on we are ever so chuffed to be giving the track another whirl. This time with up and coming progressive producers Descent, Elliot Wright and Faces. We have also managed to dust down all 16 mixes and even produced a 2008-sounding beats edit of the Junior tribal mix. One big release for one big producer.
